The drive power doesn't use belts, chains or other parts that are subject to intensive wear and maintenance. This contributes to the machine's durability and reliability. In practice this means that the hinge point of the knife arm and the axle driving the connecting rod, are on the same axle line. This offers the advantage that the driving mechanism doesn't suffer any disadvantage from the knives' adjustability. The Edge Styler has much more to offer than a classic edge cutter. In spring, after the winter period, every refined lawn needs intensive care. The lawn edge also needs beautification. In this case, it mainly involves recreating the edge. The Edge Styler is eminently suitable to do this quickly and precisely. This also applies to the end of an intensive mowing season where the lawn edges suffer greatly from weekly mowing. Repairing sagging lawn edges is simple when using the Edge Styler.

During the mowing season itself, the grass that grows at the very edge of the lawn must also be mowed.  Often this is outside the reach of the mower so an edge dresser must do the job. The Edge Styler can also be used for this job. Using a small converter kit, the Edge Styler can be converted into a cutter within 5 minutes. The knife that cuts the overgrown grass uses the principle of a pair of scissors. A static and a moving part of the scissors slide over each other and then the grass is caught between the two parts and is cut. These two moving part are installed in multiple pairs on a disk. If the cutting edge of the moving part wears out, it can be turned away which brings a new sharp scissors to the fore.   Again, this mechanism is extremely safe because there are no protruding parts. As a result, the operator can inspect the cutting equipment without danger, which helps increase the precision and finishing of the edge. In addition, the owner enjoys all the functionalities of the Edge Styler (wheel drive, vibration damping, manoeuvrability, comfort, etc.)

MAXIMUM SAFETY

First and foremost, there is the safety which is part of the stabbing concept that ELIET promotes here.  In comparison to other machines that use a revolving knife, the knife's movement speed is about 1/3 lower.  This doesn't cause any projection when cutting, so there is no danger of damage from flying stones or wounding the operator.

The knife permanently works under the soil, so there is not even a danger for wounding the lower limbs. 
As soon as the knife is lifted from the soil, the power is cut and the knife stops moving. This eliminates all danger from the machine.

THE WAY IN WHICH THE GRASS IS CUT

A clean cut is only possible when you use a sharp knife blade to cut through the blade of grass at high speed. The design of the edge cutter is therefore based on these two basic characteristics. The machine turns a blade that is as hard as steel and has a sharp cutting edge at approximately 2550 rpm. Unlike the nylon line in a trivial grass trimmer, the ELIET edge cutter causes minimal damage when it cuts neatly through each blade of grass.
