• in case of semi-professional or professional use: after 1 year or 100 work hours.

When doesn't the warranty apply:

(falling, loose chippings, foreign objects, accident).

c) when it becomes clear that the defect is a result of failing to perform the required periodic maintenance.

d) when a defect started after repairs were made by a non-authorized Eliet dealer or using non-original eliet parts.

e) when the defect results from unauthorized adjustment of the original way the equipment was built.

f) when the defect results from use that is not in agreement with the manual's directions.

g) when the required warranty procedure is not followed or the warranty period has expired.

h) for defects in engines you can contact the authorized service centre of the engine brand.

i) external causes such as damage during transport or by weather conditions.

step 1: at the time of purchase the registration cards provided are filled in completely. the first form must be sent back to Eliet within a month after purchase. the customer will keep the other copies and his purchase invoice until the expiration of the warranty period. the purchase will be registered at www.Eliet.eu (starting in september 2008, before that time you must fill in the attached warranty card and send it to Eliet europe nv).

step 2: when a defect occurs, the customer contacts his authorized Eliet dealer to determine the cause. when this dealer, taking the conditions into account, thinks there is a manufacturer's defect, he can apply for a warranty.

step 3: as part of the request an official application form must be filled in completely. the dealer can obtain these forms from Eliet or the Eliet import representative.

step 4: the dealer orders the parts necessary to make the repair. in addition to the order document he also faxes the completed warranty form and a copy of the registration card.

step 5: this customer warranty form is stapled to a copy of the purchase invoice and will be sent together with the defective part to Eliet or the Eliet import representative.

step 6: Eliet will send the parts ordered to the dealer under the normal delivery and payment conditions.

step 7: Eliet's technical department will investigate the abnormal break and will make a decision regarding the cause and with this will confirm or reject the warranty. Eliet in any case reserves the right to decide whether the customer met the conditions for the warranty to be valid for either 1 or 2 years.

step 8: if the warranty request is accepted, Eliet will issue a credit for the warranty parts.

IV. in case of damage during transportation
• goods are sold ex-factory, the transportation risk is at the customer's expense.
• it is therefore important to check the goods for damage upon delivery.
• when damage is found this will be noted on the delivery note before signing it for receipt.
have the lorry driver sign the notification on your copy.
• without this notification in writing and signed on the delivery note, the transport insurance company will deny all liability.
• with a copy of the delivery note and a letter of explanation damages may be requested from the transport company.
• the damaged equipment should be kept in the original state until after the inspection by the transport company's insurer.
